“ One of the more popular 3 star Michelin Restaurant in Northern California/Sonoma Valley area. My friend paid close attention to reservations and booked ahead for a Monday night. She made a reservation for 2 and paid ahead of time. I looked at reviews because I was pescatarian at the time and I opted for pescatarian instead of vegetarian but I read someone’s vegetarian reviews and they enjoyed it! I also read ahead what to expect and it if heavily Japanese influenced so I prepared myself for that. There’s plenty of street parking and they have a small parking lot outside. Service was amazing and it’s nice and sleek inside. We were welcomed with a welcome drink in their open concept entrance. Their sushi starter set up is beautiful and delicious! We went with a bottle of white wine from Austria to go with our meal and it paired well especially with the seafood. We didn’t know how many courses there were. But for the main courses I got a scaled fish instead of wagyu, I loved my fish, and then there were some duck dishes and I had more vegetables. Was definitely stuff and I really enjoyed all of the local veggies. Our servers were super friendly. The meal was about 3-4 hour which is typical. Overall a great experience, I know people have a hard time getting reservations but always try to look ahead! ”

“ Wow! I thought I lost in not getting reservations at TFL- not at all! This place was amazing !! The food the service- seriously amazing! Most places are lukewarm about service dogs- I think Breyer won them over- and they set him up perfectly! Every dish was amazing!! The sake was a bit strong- but I was told it was a v special blend- sorry :( I really enjoyed the orchestra of this place it was beautiful in every way and the chef actually spoke to me on my way out ( thank you) bc he felt he couldn’t create anything that would keep my service dog healthy- I so respect that!! A sick dog on vacation is not fun - so thank you I think he still enjoyed the experience as you guys made a special place for him and it was super fun for me as my Japanese experience was limited ( I’m a Texan!) thank you for a wonderful dinner!! ”

“ This was our second time in 4 years dining here. The food was on point both times. Amazing dishes crafted in an artful way visually and tastefully. The service was very genuine. The somm we had was younger and had a very great vibe. The only difference we felt from our first experience to the second was a sense of being rushed. Our first experience had a steady natural flow while the second one there was a sense of urgency from the captain. At the end, the move to the roof top was nice but it seemed a little rushed. Also once we were up at the top we felt a touch out of place. It felt like the experience abruptly halted. Still highly recommend. Food was great. Need to fine tune the flow. ”

“ This was the best meal of my life. I believe this is among one of the best restaurants in the world. It earns its high praise. The first course was extremely impressive with an array of Japanese dishes that made it feel like I was eating a 20 course meal. The presentation felt unreal as if I was in a dream. Every dish from appetizers to mains I would give a 9/10 or 10/10. Everything was consistently excellent. The weakness was the dessert courses that I would give 8/10. I have been to atleast 40 Michelin star restaurants and this was the best hands down. The vegetables were so fresh from their farm and perfectly executed with their dishes. The presentation was a work of art. I really appreciated all the hard work, talent, creativity, and thought that the team put into every dish. I enjoyed the scallops, sesame tofu dish, all the fresh vegetables from their farm, the sauces were amazing and reminded me of French cuisine, the first course was unreal, duck, and Wagyu excellent. The restaurant team worked so hard and they moved like clockwork. They really work hard to make it a memorable dining experience. They delivered a memorable dining experience I will not forget that took place on my birthday. ”
